FAQs

  • An Exercise Physiologist is a university-qualified health professional who specialises in using exercise as medicine to manage chronic conditions, injuries, and pain through personalised, evidence-based programs. Unlike Personal Trainers, who focus on general fitness and performance for healthy individuals, Exercise Physiologists are trained to work with medical conditions and rehabilitation, ensuring safe and effective exercise tailored to your needs. Exercise Physiologists do not perform manual therapy (such as massage or joint manipulation) but we will refer to the appropriate healthcare professionals if this is needed.

  • An Exercise Physiologist specialises in using exercise as medicine to prevent and manage chronic conditions, injuries, and pain through tailored, evidence-based exercise programs. A Physio mainly focuses more on diagnosing and treating injuries, pain, and movement disorders using hands-on techniques like massage, joint manipulation, and dry needling. A Personal Trainer helps generally healthy individuals improve fitness, strength, and performance but does not have the clinical training to treat injuries or medical conditions. If you have a chronic illness, long-term pain, or need rehabilitation, an Exercise Physiologist is the best choice for safe, structured, and effective recovery.
